With his progressive style, technical proficiency, and eclectic compositions, Greg Burgess has been pushing the boundaries of melodic technical death metal for almost 20 years.

As the guitarist and songwriter for Allegaeon, Greg draws from a diverse range of influences—including classical, jazz, and flamenco—and blends them into his signature sound.

When he’s not on tour, he’s teaching—helping fellow musicians and guitarists master skills and techniques, and strengthen their knowledge and understanding of music theory. 

Greg holds a Bachelor of Music in classical guitar performance from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and is certified in the Suzuki method
